Eldredge v. Town of Pomfret

Tbe law has made it tbe duty of tbe several towns in this state, to keep and maintain tbeir highways and bridges in good and sufficient repair; and whoever suffers damage through tbeir neglect, bath a right of action to recover for the damage.
